About me

Julia

I am a design researcher with a passion for problem solving, no matter the field. I start with users and explore how to make products, services or experiences for the existing market, and I create value through optimizing the social, economical and technological aspects of products.
I am a design researcher at Milwaukee Tool, and I have an M.S. in Engineering Design Innovation from Northwestern University and a B.S. in Physics from Illinois Wesleyan University. My Physics degree taught me how to break large problems into smaller, more manageable, tasks. Now I use this technique to tackle seemingly insurmountable qualitative design problems, going out into the field and translating broad user statements into actionable insights.

I am originally from the Chicagoland area, and in my free time I enjoy rock climbing, hiking, painting, photography and working as an extra in TV shows.
